Wing Watchers.net Presents:
"Nema's Garden"
Welcome to the garden. Hi, I am Nema. From living in the city for most of my life, I never had the chance to plant anything. When my husband, Dave, and I moved to the foothills region of the Berkshire Mountains there was a large field that we had the use of so I decided to try my luck with planting some flowers. We joined into a program from the National Wildlife Federation called "Backyard Wildlife Habitat". They give you ideas and things you need to do in order to apply for the program. It is a "take your word for it" program and you will receive a nice sign to put in your area. Cool, you can check it out by clicking on the mini sign to the left. So, I started planting for the birds and other wildlife around us. With help from my brother-in-law, Ron, three small ponds [for my froggies] were installed with water bubblers, rock walls, and various plants both botanical and wild. I don't have a green thumb but I do pretty good. We keep an album of my flower picture in this section, so please click the enter button just below and see what I have. Hope you enjoy your visit, come back again, and try the program for yourself. Did I mention that you need very little area for your garden. Especially if you live in the city. Even a rooftop garden is possible.
